Week 5

Cricket turned 5 weeks old this past Thursday.  She is really starting to grow up.  When she's awake, she is really alert and loves looking around.  She likes all of the colors on the TV and in her play gym thing (see video below).  She loves hanging out with Mommy and listening to Mom talk in a baby voice.  Unfortunately, she has developed a cold over the past couple of days and has been coughing and had a stuffy nose.  We feel so helpless that there is nothing that we can do to make her feel better.  She's started to get a little bit better today, so please say a prayer that it goes away soon.

I have figured out what her favorite word is: Cricket.  Everytime I ask her if she is our Cricket, she gets a big smile on her face.  Last night she even gave us a small giggle.  She really enjoys to hear the name.  I've been catching myself calling her different things like Cricket, Alli, and Allison, but with the way she enjoys hearing that word, I think I'm going to stay with Cricket.

We don't have a lot of new pictures because we really haven't left the house with her feeling bad, but here are some cute ones of her around the house and of us at Grammy and Grampy's on New Years.  Hope you enjoy!

She looks so much like Liz to me! She is so adorable and smiles so good for only 5 weeks!

Hey - poor baby, she got the snots huh... Well, there is not much to help a bitty baby of her size medicine-wise but we found that a warm humidifier, the saline for the nose (occasionally) and the baby vicks, we were told to put it on her chest and her feet (before night-night only -- not all day), I know the feet sounds weird but it kept Addi from Coughing. Cute pics and Vidz Scotty.
