Melmo slippers, Dancing with Santa and Helping Daddy!!

Alli always takes her shoes and socks off any chance she gets.  Since it's been getting colder, I don't want her to be barefoot in the house.  So I got her some Elmo slippers!  Let's just say that she loves her Elmo slippers!!!  We started letting her watch Sesame Street and she loves the show, but especially loves Elmo!!  She calls Elmo "Melmo".  It actually sounds more like "Mellllll-mooowww"  Since it's Elmo, she actually keeps her slippers on and does pretty good walking in them!

"Melmo Slippers!!"

"Cheese"

"Alli, who's on your feet?"  "Melmo!"

"Mom, stop taking pictures of me!"

"Really mom, stop!"

Out of all of our Christmas decorations, Alli's favorite would have to be the dancing Santa and reindeer!  She will start dancing and then point over to the living room to have us take her there to play the music!

Dancing with Santa!

We do this about 10 times a day!!

The other day Scott was raking the leaves in the front yard and Alli wanted to help!!  So we put her in the pile of leaves!!! She was a big help!!

Doesn't Scott look so happy raking leaves?

"Hey Dad, I got a leaf!"

"Here's some more!"

"Just kidding, I want to keep them!"

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I hope everyone had a great turkey day and got to spend some time relaxing and enjoying some good food!!  We went to my parent's house for the day (and night too)!!  It was a such a wonderful day and Allison's 1st Thanksgiving was very fun!!!  There was only one kitchen fire and no yelling, so I would say that Thanksgiving was a huge success for us!!!  My mom decorated the tables so pretty and this year we had a true kids table and adult table.  Alli got to sit at the adult table but David, Andy and Callie were at the kids table all by themselves!! Do you remember sitting at the kids table when you were younger?  I used to think it was the coolest thing that we were at a table all by ourselves!! Alli really enjoyed all the turkey, mashed potatoes, bread and of course dessert!!  She loves pumpkin pie (she takes after her mom)!

After dinner, we attempted to get a 2010 Thanksgiving day photo and you would think that would be impossible to get all the kids to look at the camera.  Well, we got all the kids to look at the camera but unfortunately Grampy didn't get the memo not to blink! But at least the funny family photo turned out good! After the photo session we ate dessert and hung out!! Uncle Lucas, Aunt Lindsay, Logan and Lucy stopped by and we got to hang out with them!! Well, we didn't see Logan that much. He was hanging out with Andy and David and was too cool for us!!! I tried to take a picture of the 3 boys playing a computer game but as soon as Andy saw me he backed away and so did Logan, so all I got was a picture of David trying to figure out what was going on?! We did watch some of the Cowboys game out back by the fire pit!! After the game was over, we played some Catch-Phrase!! The boys team won. This year Andy and David played and they were really good at it! I think that's how the boys team won! After that we watched some old Fullen Christmas videos! I know that Alli looks a lot like Scott, but in these videos I was 18 months old and you would think that Alli was in the videos!! You would also think that I was in the videos as a 30 year old Mom of 3 named Donna! (yes, I look just like her and sound just like her)

The adults table!

The kids table!

Scott and David excited about eating turkey!!

Did I mention we had 4 turkeys and a ham? And lots of leftovers!

Alli enjoying her turkey!

Showing off her Thanksgiving shirt!

Family photo!

Funny photo!

Andy eating his pie!

He ate 3 pieces of pie!!

Hanging out by the fire pit!

Andy and Logan didn't want me to take a picture!

Ready for her dessert! We had a wardrobe change after dinner!

When you ask Alli what a Turkey says she says "yaaa yaaa yaaa".  When translated, she is meaning to say "gobble gobble gobble"!

It was a wonderful Thanksgiving and we are so thankful for all our Family and Friends!!!

Sweet Pea Update!!

Yesterday we went for another Sonogram to see how Sweet Pea is doing! I always love getting to see him/her!!  We got the all good from the tech so that is always nice to hear!  She did say that Sweet Pea is 2lbs 13ozs and is measuring right on size! The heartbeat was at 155 bpm, so maybe it's a girl?!!!!!  They say over 140 bpm is a girl) Alli's was all over the place when I was pregnant with her but never below 145 bpm.  Sweet Pea is usually around 135- 145 bpm, so Scott thinks it is totally a boy.  I guess we will have to wait another couple months to know for sure!!!! Either way, we will be very happy! All we want is a healthy baby!!!

Here are some of the pictures of the sonogram. We don't have a scanner so I just took pictures of them, that's why they are kind of blury.  Hope you enjoy!!

This is a face profile with his/her hand above it's face!

This one shows Sweet Pea with it's mouth open to say HI!!

Leg and Foot that kicks me all day!!!

Arm above Sweet Pea's face!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!!!

Guess what we did today?  We put up Christmas decorations!!!!  I know that it is only November 12th and for a procrastanator like me, it's crazy to think about Christmas, but we did it!!!  I didn't decorate for Halloween/Fall and we do Thanksgiving at my parents, so no need to decorate for that.  So this morning we slept in (thank you for a daughter that is not an early riser)! Scott brought down all the Christmas stuff from the attic and upstairs closet and he put up the tree. Then we put it all of the decorations up!!

Our tree in our living room! Still need a tree skirt and a topper.

This is a little tree that I have out all year. Then at X-Mas time I put my old homemade ornaments on it.  I figure when Alli and Sweet Pea start making their own, we will put their's here too!

Alli sized Snowman and Bear!

This is the mantle.  I need to add a bunch to the mantle and we need to get Alli a stocking to match ours and Buddy's.

Also, this is a new thing and I think I am going to work really hard to keep to this.  Allison took a nap in her crib!!  I know that may sound like a normal thing but not for us.  She normally naps while I hold her or in her car seat if we are running errands.  So of course I get nothing done durning the day at the house (the inportant stuff I get done is hanging with Allison)!  So I was thinking to myself last night that we are going to have another baby around in a few months and I don't know how that will work if they both need to take naps or if I need to do something for the new one.  So I decided that I was going to have to give up holding her so that we can get into a schedule/routine.  Currently we don't have one.  She naps when she is tired and sleeps anywhere from 30 mins to 3 hours at a time one or two times a day.  But it worked today! She slept for 2 1/2 hours today only cried for about 10 minutes when I left the room.  So we will try again tomorrow and see if it will become a routine!!!

Laying down taking it easy!

She found her pockets!!

Don't look too close or you will see some boogies!!! She is getting over a cold!

Then tonight Alli had some Mac and Cheese for dinner.  I thought I would see what she would do if I put it in a bowl and gave her a spoon.  Well, she put the spoon in the bowl and started stiring it.  I think thats because thats what I do with her cereal.  But the spoon was short lived.  It was much easier for her to use her hands!!  Then she tried to lick the bowl!

"Much easier!"

"I love Mac and Cheese!"

"Anymore in here?"

"No more, I guess I'll throw it on the floor!"

"Uh-Oh!"

Now Alli is watching the Illinois basketball game with Scott!!  She as an Illini outfit that Great Uncle Brian got her when she was born.  At the time is was too big but now she looks so cute in it!!  Go Illini!!!

"It's Good!"

"Hey Dad, can we go shoot some hoops?"

"Dad, they made the three-pointer!  Yay!"

"Did they seriously miss that free throw?!?!"

Trick or Treating!!!!

With this being Alli's 1st Halloween we just had to take her Trick or Treating!!  Since we were over at my mom's from the night before we went to a few of her neighbor's houses!!  I think we went to a total of 4 houses and let me tell you, for only going to four houses, she totally made out with the candy!!!  And since she is a little to young for the candy, we helped her not let it go to waste!!!  We borrowed Cousin Callie's hand-me-down Pink Poodle costume and let me just say that Alli makes a very cute poodle!!!

Ready to go!!

Really ready to go!!  "I have my bag ready Mom!"

Waiting patiently at the door!

Picking out her candy!!

She walked all the way down the street!

She was tired and done with the hood by the end of the night!

This is her candy from four houses!!!! (Notice the Dora bag - she loves Dora!!)
