6 months old!!

Ok, so this is just about a month late but we have been busy here! We went to Pittsburgh (post coming soon) then we all have had colds that we are still trying to get over, now we are getting ready to go to Illinois.  So better late than never, right?

Ben turned 6 months old on the 14th of July.  I cannot believe he is already a half a year old.  (or in this case almost 7 months old!!) He is so much fun!!  He is such a happy little boy!! He loves his big sister and watches her all day long!!  It's really cool now because they are starting to "play" together!!  Basically they play by each other then when Ben gets a toy Alli wants she says "no, no bubba" and takes the toy away.  Most times she gives it back or gives him another toy. Such a big sister!!  Ben is trying to crawl, he still does the army crawl but now he will get up on all fours and rock.  He gets mad at himself when he can't crawl but he still gets all around the room with his army crawl!!  He is getting all formula now.  It took him a couple days to make the switch but he is doing great with it now!  He gets cereal, fruits and veggies! He takes his pacifier a lot more now!  He actually sleeps with it and sometimes I have to run up and put it back in a couple times a night! (the pacifier thing is new to us because Alli never really took to one)

Ben is such a fun baby!!  He has made our lives so enjoyable over the last 6 months!!!

Summer Fun

Ben turned 6 months old yesterday!! I really can't believe it has already been that long!!! He is getting so big! This isn't his 6 month post - I'll do that next week after his Dr appointment. 

Yesterday, we went to Sea Life Aquarium and to lunch at Rainforest cafe to celebrate Ben's half birthday!! Cousins David, Andy and Callie are at Camp Grammy this week so Alli, Ben, and I decided to join them for some fun!!  The Aquarium just opened on Tuesday so we knew it would be busy and it was but thankfully Grammy got the tickets online so we didn't have to wait!!  Then once you are inside it wasn't bad.  It's a pretty cool place!!  The big kids really enjoyed it! There were little caves the kids can go in and it makes you feel like you are in the tank with the fish! Then there is a tunnel where you walk under and over the tank! That was really cool!  I think that was Ben's favorite part!!  He loved looking at all the colors and fish moving around!! 

Then there was the shark walk!  This part has clear bottom cut outs where you can see the sharks! Andy was a little scared so he just stayed on the solid ground!  Suprisingly, Alli liked this part!!  I say that because when we were looking at the sting rays and shark tank earlier she got pretty scared when the shark swam by her! She jumped a couple times and then wanted some hugs and reassurance that the sharks couldn't get her!  But, when the sharks were below her and she could see them before they got to close she liked watching them swim all around!!

After all the underwater fun we went to Rainforest Cafe to have lunch!  All the kids liked the alligator out front while we were waiting!  Then inside Alli liked the Gorilla (or monkey as she calls it) and was imatiting it!! Ben was a tired kiddo, he slept through lunch even with all the thunder and animal noises going on!

Then tonight we just hung out at home and played with the kids!!  As you can see Alli loves her brother very much!! And Ben loves her so much! He is always watching her and just looks at her like she is so cool!!!

Benjamin's Baptism

Ben had a very special day on Saturday!!  He got baptized at our church! He did so good through the ceremony, he didn't even cry when he got the water poured over him! Then it was time for his nap, he was out the rest of the ceremony until we got home.  Since he was asleep after we were not able to get pictures of us with the Deacon but we got some after at home.  He looked adorable in his white suit and little shoes!!!  We are so happy for our little boy!! After the ceremony we had everyone over for a celebration!  It was a wonderful day!!!
