Cricket's New Adventure...

Well, Allison is going to be a BIG SISTER!!!!  Yep, you read that correctly.  We are having another baby!!!!  They will be right around 14 months apart! We are so excited!!!  I will answer some common questions we have been asked by our immediately family who already know.

1) Are you crazy? Well maybe a little, but it will be fun, right?!?!
2) Do you realize what your life will be like? Yes, we understand that we will probably not remember anything about the next 2 years or so, but it will be okay in the long run!
3)Are we going to find out the sex? No, we are keeping it a surprise like last time.

This is how I told Scott that we were going to have another one.  Funny thing about the shirt.  When we went to the store, I asked if they had any Big Sister shirts and the lady said "not in her size, they start at 2T.  It doesn't make sense for them to make them in the 0- 24 month sizes".  To which I laughed and said "yeah, that would just be crazy!! "  So she will grow into it!  Needless to say, Scott was confused but very excited!

Here is a picture of the little Sweet Pea!!! That's kind of the nickname for Baby #2 as of right now. We have to have a nickname again since we aren't finding out if it's a he or she.  On the ultrasound it looks like a pea in a pod and it just so happened that the week before the sonogram Alli got a "pea in the pod" toy from Grammy and Aunt Sarah.  So it kind of works!! So now we have the Cricket and the Pea! (instead of the Princess and the Pea)

I was almost 8 weeks weeks at this sonogram.  I'm about 10 weeks pregnant now.  The due date is late January or early February.  (Scott is worried that it will be on Super Bowl Sunday!)

And here is what we think Alli will be like as a Big Sister!

Let's just hope she gives the baby more kisses then she does smacks in the face!!

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays...

Well, June and July are very busy birthday months!!!  At the start of June we had cousin Lucy's 2nd birthday party!! I can't believe she is already 2.  She is so cute!!!  Lindsay had a gold fish theme and all the kids got to take home a real gold fish!!

Then we had my birthday! We hung out with family and took it easy!Alli and Scott did an awesome job of making it a special day for me!

Then we were off to Salado to see our friends Andy and Sarah for their son Owen's 3rd birthday! They just built a new house and it is AWESOME!!!  The party was lots of fun and it is always great to see them!

Then it was Uncle Jim's 29th Birthday!!! We are no longer twins! (we are the same age for 2 weeks, I think that's what makes us so close) We had a family dinner with cake for him and he got some help blowing out his candles!

Then it was cousin David's 9th birthday!!! For his birthday we get a huge waterslide and the boys went wild (it's an excuse for the big kids like Daddy to act like they are 12 again).  All of the boys played "King of the Mountain" and then when the little boys get tired and went inside, Uncle Jim and Scott get to show off there skills - or just freak my mom out by doing flips down the slide!

Since Little Dave's birthday is on the 3rd of July, we got to see fireworks!!  This was Alli's first time with fireworks so we didn't know if she would like it or even care about them.  Well, she loved them!!!  She watched all of them!!  Then it was America's Birthday and Great Grandma Payne's birthday!  Alli liked the fireworks so much we decide to go see more on the 4th.

Also, we have a few new additions to our extended family.

Macie Elizabeth Johnson - Born June 6th
This is Scott's cousin Bailey, her husband Josh, and their new daughter Macie

Miles John Tomley - Born June 29th

This was Alli's face when I told her we were stopping to get Kolaches!!!

Trying to drink water like Mommy! She did pretty good until she took a big gulp and freaked me out. No more water bottle for Alli!

Happy Birthday Great Grandma Payne!

Happy Birthday America!

Waiting for the fireworks to start!

Such a happy little girl!!

7 Months Old!!

I know that I keep saying this, but where does the time go?  I can't believe Alli is already 7 months old!!  She is just so much fun!!!  We play and laugh everyday!!  I guess that's why time is flying by!  She started crawling over a month ago and now she is all over the place!!!  She is standing when holding on to furniture like the couch or coffee table.  She will walk if you hold her hands but her favorite mode of transportation is crawling! She dances when she hears music and it's the cutest thing.  She rocks back and fourth and then when the music stops she stops and looks around!  She has just learned to clap her hands.  Well, kind of - she makes a fist with her hands and hits them together but she gets so excited when we say "clap, clap, clap!" She has also started to give us kisses.  They are a little slobbery because she keeps her mouth open and leans in...but they are the best kisses ever!!  Here are some videos of her now that she is a big 7 months old!!!

Her first pig tails!

Playing the piano with Daddy!

This is how the standing started...

This is it now...

If Cousin Callie had her way she would be standing on kick-balls!

Now she is standing without holding on (yes, her dress is tucked in her bloomers, it makes it easier to crawl)

My how times have changed!

Here are some new videos of Alli.  It's only been a few months since the videos below them were taken.  She has grown so much over the past couple months.  We LOVE it when she jabbers on and on and love the video we captured of it.  The last video we had of her was when she first started to learn to make sounds.  The other videos of her are when she first learned to pick up her head compared to her now where she is scooting along the bed crawling.  Hope you enjoy seeing the differences as much as we do.

Happy Birthday Uncle Brad!!

Today is Uncle Brad's Birthday!  Since he is over in Iraq, we can't call him and wish him a Happy Birthday. But since we know he is able to check the blog, we are going to do it here.

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday Uncle Brad!
Happy Birthday to you!!
(pretend this is way off pitch and hurts your ears - then it's just like us singing to you in real life!)

We hope that you are able to enjoy your birthday! We want to tell you that we are very proud of you and that we love you very much and can't wait for you to come home!!!
