Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year!!  I can't remember much from last year's Christmas, I'm guessing that's from lack of sleep from having a 3 week old!  So this Christmas Alli really had a lot of fun!!!
On Christmas Eve, we went to our church and then headed up to McKinney to eat dinner and spend the night at my sisters so all the kids could be together!  Alli was great at church!! She kept the row behind us entertained by tickling Uncle Jim and waiving to everyone!  She was even good at dinner! She got a little tired towards the end of dinner but nothing that laying her head down for a seconds couldn't fix!!  After dinner we went back to my sisters where the kids put on there Christmas jammies, sang Christmas songs, wrote a letter to Santa and then finally went to bed sometime around 11!!! (the adults then played Catchphrase and watched Christmas Vacation and went to bed around 2 am)

Then on Christmas morning (7:30am) the big kids woke up and we had to stall them for a little bit so that everyone could get back over to my sisters to watch the kids open presents.  We also had to wake Alli up!  So finally around 8:30 we went down stairs and opened presents!!  Alli had a lot of fun with all the wrapping paper and boxes!! She loved opening the gifts and she got lots of fun toys!!  I didn't get many pictures but Scott has all it on video so we can look back at this Christmas years from now!! 

After opening presents and eating breakfast, we headed back home to get ready for Christmas dinner at our house with Scott's side of the family!  We hung out, opened presents and then had a ham and turkey dinner!  It was so much fun to be with everyone! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!!

Pictures with Santa!

This year I went a little overboard with Alli and Santa.  She got to see Santa 3 different times!!  I guess I was trying to make up for not taking her last year when she was just a few weeks old!!! The first Santa we went to was at our Church (see previous post).  That was nice because we were able to take our time to get Alli warmed up to Santa. 

The second Santa was "our" Santa.  I call it "our" Santa because it was the one that Scott and I got engaged at!!!  Would you believe it after 5 years he still remembers us!! He was actually telling the girls that work there about us earlier the same day we came to see him. He asked me if I got the furniture for our new house that I had asked for that day.  How cool is that?!?!  He was very sweet with Alli and we told him that he is good luck!! We look forward to taking both kiddos to him next year!! 

The third Santa was the one my sister goes to.  We went with them so we could get a Grandkids picture for my parents.  Let's just say that Alli was either "Santa'ed" out or it was because I just set her on Santa's lap and walked away, but she was not a fan of this Santa!! At least we have the classic baby crying on Santa's lap picture!  Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!!

Holiday in the Park!!

The Satuday after Thanksgiving we went to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags!!  This was Grampys idea and I was beyond excited!!  I love all things Christmas, cold weather and hot chocolate!!!  So I couldn't wait to see how Alli would like it!!  And lets just say that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!!  She loved it!  She got to ride on the Merry-Go-Round and the Trucks in Tiny Town!!  She also got to meet Bugs Bunny!!!  She also got to have some funnel cake!!!  What a fun day!!!

Breakfast with Santa!!!

On Sunday, our Church had breakfast with Santa after Mass.  This was the first time Alli has met Santa. She knows Santa that she dances with at home and the ones on our mantle, but not the real guy!!  So we weren't sure how it was going to go! Scott says I was way too excited about it because I wouldn't stop talking about it all week!!  But that's because I knew she was going to love meeting Santa!!  And I was right!!  She was a little shy at first but after I gave Santa a hug she was fine and even "cheesed" it up for the camera!!!

Then we went to my parents to watch football and Alli found a seat that she likes!! I think she likes it more now then she did when she was a baby!!!

She found the seat and then wanted to get in it so we buckled her in!!!  She's just a little big for it!!
