The Pumpkin Patch and Pumpkin Carving!!!

The Saturday before Halloween, my sister and I came up with a plan to take all the kids to the pumpkin patch then stay over at mom and dad's to carve pumpkins!! So that's what we did!!  It was such a blast!!!
Alli kept saying "Bawwwwl" (Ball) at all the pumpkins!!  I guess they look close enough to balls! She also way trying to pick all of them up, even the really big ones!!  Alli and Callie really enjoyed the hay maze they had! And the boys liked the big corn maze they had!  All the kids picked out a pumpkin for our pumpkin carving party!!!

The kids at the pumpkin patch!!  (Andy is trying to give David bunny ears)

Trying to pick up the "Bawwwwl" (pumpkin)

"Why is that camera always in my face?"

Cousin Callie enjoyed the tractors!

"Get me out of all these pumpkins!!"

"I'm trapped in here!"

Alli picking out her pumpkin!

"Yep, this is the one!"

The kids ready to go! (Andy still trying to give David and Alli bunny ears)

Then it was time to carve some pumpkins!!!  The boys carved pumpkins and the girls decorated pumpkins!!  I got this kit that had pre-cut pieces of felt to decorate pumpkins.  I thought that would be better than Callie and Alli trying to carve pumpkins!!  Alli was a litte tired from the pumpkin patch so as she was sitting in her high chair she fell asleep!!! She took a litte nap while we finished decorating and then we watched the Monster Squad and had a pajama party!!! It was a perfect way to get ready for Halloween!!!

Ready to decorate some pumpkins!

Alli was just a little tired!!

Time to watch Monster Squad!!!

Andy has his popcorn ready!!!

Scott and Uncle Jim went to our friends Kris and Dwaine's Halloween party here are their costumes!

Scott as Tony Romo with a broken collarbone!

Jim as Mad Max!

Alli's first hair cut!!!

I finally broke down and decided to take Alli to get her hair cut!  It was really just her bangs that would get in her eyes.  Since she won't let me put a bow in her hair, it's hard to keep it out of her eyes so it had to be cut.  I was very surprised how well she sat in the chair and let the lady do her work!  She loves when I brush her hair with my hair brush but sitting still is not something she does very much of!  But it worked and she looks like such a big kid to me now.

She loved the puzzle and that worked to keep her still!!

She even let her put a clip in her hair!!

"This cape tastes good!"

Let's cut those bangs!

She let us put this tiara on her!

Doesn't she look like a big girl?!!!

The Texas State Fair and a Pasta dinner!!

Scott, me and my mom took advantage of Scott having the day off for Columbus Day and took Alli to the State Fair. We had a great time!  I think we ate just about every fried food they had! Both Scott and I had a stomach ache later that night!!  Alli did get to try a Fletchers corn dog and she loved it!! (I gave her part of the breading) We didn't ride any rides but we did take her to the petting zoo so she could see all the animals!  She loves animals!!  She thinks that any big four legged animal is a cow so she says MOOOOOOO when she sees them! We can't wait for the Fair to come back next year!!!

Trying a corn dog for the first time!

She likes it!!!

With the warm air and all of that fried food who wouldn't need a nap!

"Grammy can I have those sunglasses?"

Holding Daddy's hand!  How sweet!!

"Moooooooooo"

These are the animals we were looking at!

When we got home we took a break and watched some Dora!!

Then for dinner Alli had some pasta.   She didn't want me to feed her and she only wanted to do it herself. To say that we had a mess on our hands would be an understatement!  But she looked so cute and was so proud of herself!!

"Ummmm"

"More please"

All done!!  This is when I got the hose out! :-)

Texas Rangers and a visit to Nash Farm!!

Can you believe that the Rangers were playing in October?  Crazy, huh?  Well, they were and we were beyond excited since we have watched all but maybe 5 games all year!!  It became one of our first family traditions to watch the Rangers game together each night throughout the season.  I like to think that it was Alli watching the games with us that was there good luck charm!!!

Well, since I am posting this after the World Series is over, we all know the outcome.  But the Rangers did great and we are still proud and excited to be Rangers fans!!  Scott and Andy got to go to a playoff game against the Rays and to say they were excited would be an understatement!!  They were like little boys on Christmas eve!! They made there famous "Opening Day" burgers and they got to the stadium at 9am...the game did  not start until 4pm!! They wanted to make sure they didn't miss a thing and had enough time for tailgating!

They boys (or Andy) making the burgers!

Can you see those smiles?!!

This is what Bromance really is!!!

Ready to go!

This is where they tailgated!  What an awesome view!

While the boys were tailgating me and Nina took Alli to Nash Farm for a fall festival.  Alli was a little young to enjoy most of what they had like the pony rides, petting zoo and tractor ride.  But she did enjoy seeing the cow and petting a sheep!!  We were also able to take some pictures of her by some pumpkins because really that's what it's all about!!

Nina and Alli!

Happy to be out of her stroller!!

Standing in the barn!

The cow!

Alli running after the ponies!

Petting the sheep!

Funny story about this sheep...  there was a mom there with bigger kids and she asked the girl that was handling the sheep why this one was shaved.  Simple question, right? Well, the girl responded with "this one is shaved because it's going to market and being used for meat" to which the mom replied "Don't say that please!"  I could only imagine the questions that mom is going to have to anwser on the car ride home!

Since the Rangers have been in the playoffs Alli has been wearing her Rangers t-shirt.  The only thing about that is her t-shirt is a 3-6 month and is a little too small.  She looks so cute in it so I still let her wear it around the house for the games.  Don't you think she looks cute?

It's a crop top!

Low rise jeans!

"Cracking" us up!!

Pretty in her tutu! (this was taking with my phone thats why it's all blurry)

It's been a busy but FUN October!!!!

Sorry it's been so long since the last post, but unfortunately we have had some computer problems. October was such a fun month!!  We had some really nice fall weather early in the month so we took advantage of that and tried to take some Payne family photos.  Well, with a dog and a 10 month old this is what we ended up with.

Not to bad... At least 3 of us are looking at the camera!

This pumpkin is almost as big as her!

We also enjoyed some time playing in the house!!  We have our family room blocked off so that Alli has a place she can run and play but not get on the title or get to the stairs!  This is where we spend most of our days!  I took some pictures of her goofing around and her trying to climb onto the couch!

Having fun!

This is who I get to spend my days with!! I am one lucky Mom!!!

"Get this hood off of me!"

"If I climb on this then I might be able to get on the couch!"

This is what she does when you say, "Say Cheese"!

"Please stop with the pictures mom!"

We also spent some time with Cousin Callie.  With my sister teaching again, my mom or me has Callie on Fridays.  This means that the girls get to spend lots of time together!

Callie and Alli!

Getting ready for a picnic!

Until... Alli left and Ranger took over the blanket!!  Can you tell Callie was a little upset?!

Alli hugging my sisters cat!  She says "meeeeeow" when she sees cats (or small dogs that look like cats!)!

I have other pictures of our October that I will upload on another post!
