9 month old pictures!!

Last week my Mom and I took Allison to get her 9 month old pictures taken. Normally, I would have her in a cute dress or tutu, but... It's football season!!!  So I decided to have her wear her jerseys as a dress!!  We started off with her Steeler jersey (since they have the better record, 3-0 baby!!). She did really good!!  Then, it came to change her into her Cowboy jersey.  Let's just say that she must have known that they weren't doing so good!!  Just kidding!  I think she had just had enough.  She figured out that we had a bow in her hair so that was gone.  Then she figured out that she could run all around the platform, so we didn't get many good ones in the Cowboy jersey.  Hope you enjoy!!

This is the Cowboy one we ended up getting! They added her name to the top and down the side it says Go Boys!!!  Since it looks like she is cheering!

Isn't she sweet!?!?

Yes, that's the blanket I made. I thought it would help add to the picture!

She loves balls!  She is hugging the football like she does her baby dolls!!

Doesn't this look like she is about to throw the ball!?  She did that on her own!

I was surprised she actually sat down long enough to get a picture!

  Go Steelers and Cowboys!!!!!

Happy Birthday Jack!

This Saturday we went to cousin Jack's 1st birthday party!!  It was so much fun and Alli really enjoyed playing with all the kids!!  The theme was Cowboy/Western and Amy did an AWESOME job with the decorations!  She had a jail, a saloon, a corral and she even turned her coffee table into a wagon!!  It was so cute!  To stick with the theme, all the kids were dressed in the western wear and Emma and Hannah had really cute pink bandana denim skirts!!  Alli had a jean dress with a pink bandana on!! She looked adorable!!  This really got me thinking about Allison's 1st birthday party and how non-creative I am and wondering what theme we are going to have!  Anyway,  here are some pictures of the party!

Dancing with the Stars!!!

Guess who loves Dancing with the Stars? No, it's not Scott! Although, I do make him watch it with us.  It's Allison, she loves the show!!  She was dancing all around the family room with the fast songs and then when a slow song came on she turned to the TV and just sat down and watched!!  It was so cute and it really makes you wonder what she is thinking!! We didn't get a picture of her dancing but here she is watching!

Football, Football, Football!!!!

Yesterday was so fun!!  We watched football all day! Scott and I woke up yesterday with big smiles because it was the the start of football!!! I know college started last week and there has been preseason games but yesterday was the start of the Steelers and Cowboys season!!  So we made it a football weekend!
On Friday, I made Allison a blanket with one side Cowboys and the other Steelers! Scott has a big Cowboys one and I have a Steelers one that my sister made for us and Alli always tries to carry them around and they are just way to big.  So I thought what she needed her own.  She loves it! It is just the right size for her!! I have some left over fabric so I might make a smaller one for the Sweet Pea!

Then on Saturday we went to cousin David's first tackle football game!  He did really good and he looked so tough in his uniform with all his pads and everything!!  His team totally kicked some butt and won the game 33 to 6!!!  It was hard to cheer againt the other team though because they were the Steelers but we managed!  Alli enjoyed watching and Scott got to teach her a little about football!

Alli and Daddy watching the game!

LIttle Dave is # 15, doesn't he look tough!!

Cheering for Cousin Dave!

Way to go Wolverines!!

Then Saturday night we went to a carnival at our Church.  Carnivals/Fairs are things to do in the Fall.  And Fall means Football, so it goes with the football weekend, right?  Anyway, Alli was too little to ride any of the rides but she did enjoy watching all the people and kids running around and loved watching the rides!! Mom and Dad enjoyed some of the fun food like funnel cake and carmerl apples!!

Watching the Ferris Wheel!

Then Sunday morning we woke up and got our team gear on!!  We went to my parents house to watch the games and Alli was decked out with her Steeler gear (we don't have any Cowboy stuff yet)! She doesn't keep her bow on anymore unless I put it on when she is asleep!  But she does like to carry it around and play with it!  It's hard to get a good picture of her now that she is walking because she is never still!!!  She was so cute during the game! She would clap when we did good.  When the Steelers scored in overtime and we all went crazy she joined in the fun and was up at the TV with the big girls clapping and dancing around!!! ( I didn't have my camera handy, but it was so cute)

Getting fantasy football updates soon after waking up with Daddy!

My Gym and Dora!!

Today, my mom and I took cousin Callie and Allison to a gymnastics place called My Gym.  They had an open house and special guests Dora and Diego!!!  So since Callie and Alli both LOVE Dora we knew we had to go check it out. We thought we would just go up there and let the girls see Dora.  We didn't know the girls would have so much fun.  Since it was an open house there were tons of kids of all ages and they could play with anything.  I loved it because it was all one big padded area so just in case Alli fell, she wouldn't get hurt! Well, instead of just staying for a second and letting the girls see Dora, we were there for over 2 hours!!! Cousin Callie is now going to take classes there every week.  So I guess the open house worked!  Alli and me will go up for free play after Callie's classes so she can enjoy it too!!!

So now on to Dora.  Let's just say that Alli liked Dora and Diego from far away.  She waved to them when they came out and danced with them but when it came time to go hug them she was not having it.  She did give Dora a high five after I did but as soon as she hit her hand she planted her face back in my shoulder.  I have to admit that the faces of the costumes are kind of scary looking so I can understand. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

9 Months Old!!!

Allison turned 9 months old on Friday and we had her 9 month checkup yesterday.  The picture below shows what she did most of the day after getting her shots! Then last night we went to watch Daddy, Grammy, and Grampy bowl!

She did really good at the doctors office! She showed the nurse how she walks, she blew kisses to the doctor, she showed him how she hugs and kisses her baby doll and sat still while he examined her.  She even gave him a high five and said bye bye when he was done!!  He gave her the stamp of approval and said that she was pretty advanced (proud mom here)!

I love going to the doctors to see how she has grown but I hate that she has to get shots. This time she only had to have 2 shots - her Hep B and the Flu shot.  This year they have the flu and swine flu combined into one shot.  Problem is that they have to get it in two doses.  We will go back in a month to get the last dose.

Surprisingly she did really good when they gave her the shots!! It was different nurses than normal so I don't think she knew they were giving her shots.  Then she saw the needles.  She tensed up her legs and they gave her the shots in the same spots as normal.  She cried for like a second and then looked at me like "what just happened?"  By the time I picked her up off the table she was all smiles again!!!

Here are her stats from today:

Weight - 21lbs 14.3oz - 89%
Height - 29 inches - 88%
Head - 17 3/4 inches - 78%

Here is a list of things that she is doing now that she is a big 9 month old kid! (this is so we can remember when she grows up)

  • She gives hugs and kisses
  • She blows kisses
  • She waves and says bye-bye (says it more like buhhh-byeeee - so cute)
  • She is walking very good...sometimes running!
  • She gives high fives
  • She claps
  • She calls Scott "Da Da"
  • She calls Me "Ma Ma"
  • She calls Buddy (puppy) "Pa Pa"
  • She tries to say pretty (says "pre..., pre..., pre...")
  • She loves to dance (anytime she hears music she starts to dance)
  • She loves Dora the Explorer (I don't sit her in front of the TV or anything but we will have it on in the background as she is playing and she goes up to the TV and stares and then dances when they sing)
  • She kicks her mini-basketball and carries it all around the room
  • She knows how to open and close her computer (on one of her toys)
  • She knows what buttons to push when we ask her on her toys
  • She eats really well
  • She gets really excited and runs to Daddy when he comes home from work
  • She loves waving at pictures of herself
  • She drinks from a straw cup
  • She crawls up stairs (at Aunt Sarah's house, we hide the stairs at home form her!)

She is a very happy fun little girl and we love everything about her!!!
