Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy!

Hello everyone!  I'm back!  I haven't made a post in a long time but I wanted to get on here to tell Mommy and Daddy "Happy 4 Year Anniversary"!  I'm supposed to be taking a nap right now but since I was able to sneak the computer away again, I thought I'd get on here to post some pictures that I found from their wedding - four whole years ago!  Don't they look so young!

Also, since Daddy is at work today, he asked me to give Mommy a big kiss for him and wanted me to tell her that she is the best wife and mother EVER!  Daddy loves you Mommy!

Guess who's walking???

Yep, that's right Alli is walking!!!  It is so fun to see the progress she is making.  A few days ago she started with one or two steps at a time then tonight she put about five or six together!!! She totally cruises around all the furniture and she loves pushing her Buzz car! Now she will just stand up and start walking! The good news is all this activity is tiring her out.  The bad news is this is tiring me out!  :-)

We are so proud of her!! She is growing up way to fast! Here are lots of videos of her moving all around the place!!  Also, there is one of her playing peek-a-boo with Buddy that is hilarious!!!  Hope you enjoy!

Pushing her Buzz car and dancing!

Alli and Buddy!

Just a few steps...

More steps...

And more steps...

Then some more steps.  Think she's tired?

Chris, Liz and Parker visit Texas!!!

Our friends Chris and Liz came to Texas and Alli (and us) got to meet Parker!!! Here is a little back story on Chris and Liz.  We met them at our marriage preparation class so they are our first "our friends"!!! Chris is from Pittsburgh and Liz is from Chicago, so naturally we hit it off! We got married in the same Church two months apart and we had daughters two months apart!!!  We were so sad when they moved to Cleveland three years ago but we are always happy to see them when they come back to Texas!  Here are some pictures of the girls playing and the boys playing too!!!

This is Chris and Liz the day we met them!!!  This was 4 years ago!!

This is Parker!  Isn't she so cute!!!

This is what you end up with when you try to get a 6 month and 8 month old to sit still!

The boys with the girls... the girls are trying to figure out who is holding them?

After Liz and I make enough noise the girls finally look!!

This is the best one I got of the Moms and the girls!

It was so great to meet you Parker!!

Alli was just a little tired... this was before we left the neighborhood!

8 Months Old!!!

Allison is 8 months old today!! These have been the greatest 8 months ever!!!! She is so much fun!!! Here are a couple of things that are going on now:

She has 2 teeth and more to come
She is crawling all over the place
She has started to take steps towards things but she just falls
She will push her Buzz Lightyear car around. It's still a little unstable but she is working on it
When she looks at pictures of herself she starts to wave
When she sees Dad she starts to clap and will sometimes blow him kisses
It is the sweetest thing to see!!! She is such a wonderful baby and we have loved every minute of the last 8 months!! Here are some pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Here she is honking Grampy's nose!

Riding her Buzz car!

Giving Buddy a hug!!  (Buddy is her favorite destination, wherever he is, she wants to be)

This is the best one of her teeth!

You can't really see her teeth...  but isn't she cute?!?!

Cricket's New Adventure...

Well, Allison is going to be a BIG SISTER!!!!  Yep, you read that correctly.  We are having another baby!!!!  They will be right around 14 months apart! We are so excited!!!  I will answer some common questions we have been asked by our immediately family who already know.

1) Are you crazy? Well maybe a little, but it will be fun, right?!?!
2) Do you realize what your life will be like? Yes, we understand that we will probably not remember anything about the next 2 years or so, but it will be okay in the long run!
3)Are we going to find out the sex? No, we are keeping it a surprise like last time.

This is how I told Scott that we were going to have another one.  Funny thing about the shirt.  When we went to the store, I asked if they had any Big Sister shirts and the lady said "not in her size, they start at 2T.  It doesn't make sense for them to make them in the 0- 24 month sizes".  To which I laughed and said "yeah, that would just be crazy!! "  So she will grow into it!  Needless to say, Scott was confused but very excited!

Here is a picture of the little Sweet Pea!!! That's kind of the nickname for Baby #2 as of right now. We have to have a nickname again since we aren't finding out if it's a he or she.  On the ultrasound it looks like a pea in a pod and it just so happened that the week before the sonogram Alli got a "pea in the pod" toy from Grammy and Aunt Sarah.  So it kind of works!! So now we have the Cricket and the Pea! (instead of the Princess and the Pea)

I was almost 8 weeks weeks at this sonogram.  I'm about 10 weeks pregnant now.  The due date is late January or early February.  (Scott is worried that it will be on Super Bowl Sunday!)

And here is what we think Alli will be like as a Big Sister!

Let's just hope she gives the baby more kisses then she does smacks in the face!!

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays...

Well, June and July are very busy birthday months!!!  At the start of June we had cousin Lucy's 2nd birthday party!! I can't believe she is already 2.  She is so cute!!!  Lindsay had a gold fish theme and all the kids got to take home a real gold fish!!

Then we had my birthday! We hung out with family and took it easy!Alli and Scott did an awesome job of making it a special day for me!

Then we were off to Salado to see our friends Andy and Sarah for their son Owen's 3rd birthday! They just built a new house and it is AWESOME!!!  The party was lots of fun and it is always great to see them!

Then it was Uncle Jim's 29th Birthday!!! We are no longer twins! (we are the same age for 2 weeks, I think that's what makes us so close) We had a family dinner with cake for him and he got some help blowing out his candles!

Then it was cousin David's 9th birthday!!! For his birthday we get a huge waterslide and the boys went wild (it's an excuse for the big kids like Daddy to act like they are 12 again).  All of the boys played "King of the Mountain" and then when the little boys get tired and went inside, Uncle Jim and Scott get to show off there skills - or just freak my mom out by doing flips down the slide!

Since Little Dave's birthday is on the 3rd of July, we got to see fireworks!!  This was Alli's first time with fireworks so we didn't know if she would like it or even care about them.  Well, she loved them!!!  She watched all of them!!  Then it was America's Birthday and Great Grandma Payne's birthday!  Alli liked the fireworks so much we decide to go see more on the 4th.

Also, we have a few new additions to our extended family.

Macie Elizabeth Johnson - Born June 6th
This is Scott's cousin Bailey, her husband Josh, and their new daughter Macie

Miles John Tomley - Born June 29th
Miles with big sis Arden - Proud parents are my cousin Chris and Megan

Kennedy Ann Abraham - born June 30th
Proud parents are Scott's cousin Blair and her husband Ryan

Getting ready to blow out my birthday candles!

This was Alli's face when I told her we were stopping to get Kolaches!!!

Trying to drink water like Mommy! She did pretty good until she took a big gulp and freaked me out. No more water bottle for Alli!

Do you see Scott up there waiting to throw the kids down!

We had snow cones too!!

Happy Birthday Great Grandma Payne!

Happy Birthday America!

Waiting for the fireworks to start!

Such a happy little girl!!

7 Months Old!!

I know that I keep saying this, but where does the time go?  I can't believe Alli is already 7 months old!!  She is just so much fun!!!  We play and laugh everyday!!  I guess that's why time is flying by!  She started crawling over a month ago and now she is all over the place!!!  She is standing when holding on to furniture like the couch or coffee table.  She will walk if you hold her hands but her favorite mode of transportation is crawling! She dances when she hears music and it's the cutest thing.  She rocks back and fourth and then when the music stops she stops and looks around!  She has just learned to clap her hands.  Well, kind of - she makes a fist with her hands and hits them together but she gets so excited when we say "clap, clap, clap!" She has also started to give us kisses.  They are a little slobbery because she keeps her mouth open and leans in...but they are the best kisses ever!!  Here are some videos of her now that she is a big 7 months old!!!

Her first pig tails!

Playing the piano with Daddy!

This is how the standing started...

This is it now...

If Cousin Callie had her way she would be standing on kick-balls!

Now she is standing without holding on (yes, her dress is tucked in her bloomers, it makes it easier to crawl)
